Curio L5 marks the third chapter of Curio Coffee Roaster & Café’s journey. True to its spirit of finding beauty in unexpected places, this café perches on a laid-back rooftop above a water body, surrounded by rustic greenery thriving within. Set against the charming old KL city skyline, L5 takes the form of a monochromatic white skeleton installation, inspired by the edges of the grating set on the water. Its geometry subtly draws on the language of Frank Stella’s hard-edge painting, forming an aperture-like portal that frames the city view while still allowing the charming old city’s colorful character to remain visible.
